Tongues at Pentecost, Deliverance and Testimonies at SCOAN

At Pentecost, all the nations gathered together. They heard and understood the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed in their respective native languages.  It is always a great opportunity to experience and understand the Holy Ghost Person and His role in our everyday lives as Christians. Jesus had commanded His disciples to wait at Jerusalem for the promise of the Father and that they would be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence, (Acts 1:4-5).

When the day of Pentecost fully came, they were all with one accord in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. They were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. There were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of "Every Nation Under Heaven", (Acts 2: 1-10).

The biggest miracle happening at the Synagogue Church of All Nations, (SCOAN), headed by its founder and Bishop, Prophet TB Joshua, is seeing someone receiving Jesus as their Saviour and witnessing a life transformation immediately. Personal salvation in Jesus Christ is the only miracle that has eternal value. At every meeting held by SCOAN, many lives are transformed from darkness to light, from waywardness to living straight in Christ Jesus. We also always witness instant signs and miracles that point people to Jesus Christ that loves them and truly setting captives free. People receiving healing instantly, others delivered from demonic powers and different types of affliction or from addiction to vices and ruinous ways of living. Their immediate uninfluenced confessions and testimonies are enough proofs of the power and presence of the Holy Ghost.

The impact of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life globally and unprecedented challenges to personal and public health, food systems, unemployment and national productivities. The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is incalculable. As part of its contribution to facing up to the challenges of the pandemic SCOAN organized a novel programme tagged, "Distance not a Barrier to the Move of God". Thousands of people have already benefitted from it because they believe. In continuation to further arrest the pandemic and its negative consequences Prophet TB Joshua introduced an "Advanced New Anointing Water" and distributing it across the globe. Nigeria is benefitting from this every weekend where Prophet TB Joshua brings Emmanuel TV partners to his very "Beautiful Prayer Mountain". It is hoped that each partner will become Christ's evangelist to their neighbourhoods across Nigeria. Freely we have received and freely we should also give. Whilst you keep watching Emmanuel.TV we also hope you will keep praying for Prophet TB Joshua and all men and women of God all over the world. It is then that we can experience the tongues, the healing, deliverance of the Holy Ghost and have personal testimonies. Emmanuel.

Have a Deeper Relationship with Jesus

Who is Jesus to you? Is Jesus alive and near in your life? Believing in Jesus is it an option or a necessity for individual salvation? Until we know who Jesus is His place in the universe, why He became flesh and blood, why He died and resurrected, why He ascended to heaven and promised to come back again, His entire message and the work of His Holy Spirit, one may not see Jesus as He truly is. Until we have Jesus forming Himself within us and we accept Him fully we may never be able to operate in the full level of our possibility and capacity. Presently the level of relationship individual Christians have with Jesus can vary greatly from person to person, even from sect to sect. Just because one has been converted, and become a Christian, doesn’t necessarily mean that one has a deep and intimate relationship desired with Jesus. It is necessary to walk out your salvation, build and maintain a loving intimate relationship with Jesus on a moment to moment basis, and continually. The concern of Prophet TB Joshua on this issue of "Building and Maintaining an Intimate and Deep Relationship with Jesus", he has expressed in multiple ways using several faith-building materials. The latest is SCOAN's ongoing programme captioned, "Distance is not a Barrier for the Move of the Holy Spirit". Prophet TB Joshua, the Bishop of SCOAN, is a man of God full of dynamic and living faith in Jesus. He takes challenges like COVID-19, and all others, to grow his ministry. This is an excellent example of having a living relationship with Jesus.

A relationship with Jesus would require more than reading the Bible, praying to God and going to church every Sunday. It goes beyond taking Jesus to be a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus is our example to follow, and we should do our best to live as He did depend only on His Holy Spirit. For example, under the exposition of SCOAN’s “Distance is not a Barrier" we are brought to the fact that despite that Jesus is in heaven and we are here, our different relationship with Jesus isn't “distant”. The Bible, however, speaks about an intimate and dynamic relationship with Jesus. Jesus is, after all, a Person, the Son of God, He has an earthly mother, He is not someone who once lived on the earth and now is far away, but a person who is alive and can be very near. "He, Himself, was tempted in all points just as you are, but overcame sin and death", (Hebrews 4:15; Romans 6:8). Because of His faithfulness, He has all the power and grace to help us to overcome the sins in our life. Therefore our relationship with Him can be full of life, (not something lifeless and stagnant), because He Himself is alive, (Revelation 1:18). Hence believe that an intimate relationship with Jesus is possible and enter into such a relationship for everything spiritually speaking. This is a product of one’s faith.

A relationship with Jesus is not one-sided. Jesus makes this clear when He says, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him", (John 14:23). It is the relationship that Jesus and the Father want to come and make their home within us individually. This is the relationship that we ought to have with Him. Again Jesus says, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him”, (John 14:21). Have you ever thought that Jesus wants to manifest (reveal) Himself to you? That promise is given to those who love Him and keep His commandments. So it is clear that such a revelation of Jesus is meant to occur throughout our lives as Christians and not only at the beginning of our Christian life.

Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me”, (Revelation 3:20). He says “anyone.” Doesn’t that include you? When we build a close relationship with Jesus, we begin to see things through His eyes. It is a bond that is forged in love and nurtured through continual communication and trust. By putting our complete faith in Christ Jesus and the outcome of all of our affairs, we are inviting Him into our life with loving trust and friendship. As this relationship deepens, we begin to see how God truly does oversee our growth, how He steers our course as we navigate our way through this lifetime.

Many people still confess about the "problem that has brought them to SCOAN". Rather we want the world to see Jesus as the first thing to have for a deeper and successful close walk with God. A close and intimate walk with Jesus is the only way a prophet like TB Joshua can accomplish effectively the mission of Jesus in this era of carnality and unbelief generation. Prophet TB Joshua is not alone on this journey. God is there to oversee and lovingly direct his path. Similarly, as we build our relationship with Christ Jesus, our trust and faith are rewarded with spiritual strength, love, knowledge, and peace. We shall find ourselves emulating the very characteristics that God displays toward us including a significant capacity to extend love, forgiveness, understanding, and compassion toward our self and others. May your heart find great peace through your relationship with Jesus and be transformed in ways you never even dreamed were possible. Emmanuel

Secret Deeds Determine How We Use the Name of Jesus in the Open

In one of his many teachings, repeatedly broadcast on Emmanuel.tv, Prophet TB Joshua said, “What we do privately in secret would determine what we could achieve in the name of Jesus in the open”. This statement has a profound impression on many viewers, especially those wondering why their own, “Be Healed in the Name of Jesus”, has not produced the expected effect. What we do privately and secretly could hold the key to whether or not we can invoke the mighty name of Jesus Christ in our favour.  What’s done in darkness will come to light as success or failure. Instead of flying from one planet to another we may keep crawling and struggling from a single point to another. The common testimony remains, “I am trying to follow Jesus but I am failing. I believe, help my unbelief.”

The unfolding events around us and in many churches all over the world reveal this reality and why there is unbelief, envy, chaos and feebleness in the Church today. We see our history, our past blunders and mistakes, unforgiving spirits, inability to let go the past, occultism and idolatry, common willful sins, all littering the different hearts and consequently in the ministries meant to proclaim Jesus. This truth and operational principle declare and forces all secret things to eventually come to light. The question is not if things will come to the light but when or how? Unfortunately, our weaknesses are coming up to hunt us due to the inability to claim our divine rights in Christ Jesus. In Genesis 4, God says to Cain, "Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground." Even Abel's blood is shouting out this principle for us to understand that a Cain may no longer enjoy fellowship nor power with God.

If the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) must change people, nations and the entire world it has to change the common perception of every class of people in the Church. The symbol of our success must remain “Wearing the Garment of Holiness and be in the fullness of the Holy Spirit”. If for a positive result we must ask “According to His will” we may also ask first that, “What is His will?” That there is power in our mouth, the belief in our heart, released through our mouth by faith? This authority and power, in the name of Jesus, go hand in hand through meditation in His Word. The World must key into the recent prophetic word from Prophet TB Joshua that the “Ministry of Distance is not a Barrier” can be an “International Zoom Crusade for Healing, Deliverance and to Promoting Jesus Christ”.

The carnal world is expecting a scientific code, a sign, or healing and deliverance that would not need it to go through the name of Jesus or faith in Him. The world wants to do without Jesus. Although for us Jesus is our Product, our own Jesus is not for sale in SCOAN. Whilst there is no biblical code that can be invoked in exchange to our faith and holy living in Christ Jesus, the Bible, emphasized by our prophet, teaches on what is more essential to our successful walk with Jesus.

The Lord Jesus and His Word must be at the centre of our living because if the Lord doesn’t build the house our work would be in vain. There is also a necessity to be diligent in our work because lazy people always want things but they never get them. Yet everyone has been given talents equal to their abilities and destined functions. If anyone refuses to use given talents such talents may be lost. The prophet has taught extensively too that we should always be willing to give freely in love to gain more; Casting our bread upon the waters to find it in multiples after many days. Those who refuse to give will end up having less and piling up unheard and unanswered prayers. In (1 Kings 3:1) we read, “…He (King Solomon) was wiser than all men…” This wisdom he exercised in many ways beside leadership. King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom, (2 Chronicles 9:22). World leaders must learn from the Wisdom of Solomon and come to Jesus, so that daily informed decisions can be taken.

Being in a state of mere physical darkness is probably not what the prophet is referring to. Many Christians create a state of physical darkness during prayer or meditation by closing the eyes so that other senses of the body could be made to work better. The physical sight can be deceiving, tempting us to believe only what we can see with the eyes. Right now the entire world is only seeing the global statistics of COVID-19 and its fearful forecasts.  Whereas the spiritual eyes have unlimited meditation power and undistracted by what the environment dictates; the prophet might have seen many days ahead of COVID-19. The visual sense blinds other senses of the body making us believe in only what is visible, but when we blind it our faith should grow and we have improved concentration. Similarly our secret and private life, if spent on meditation on the Word and not what our circumstance suggests, would produce enough faith upon which the power of God can be released rather than a result of some academic exercise. The Lord Jesus is always true to His word when He said that “We would receive whatever we ask for in His name”.

Therefore, despite the prevailing global carnality, diversity in faith, a form of International Crusade by Zoom should be supported as we pray along with Prophet TB Joshua and his team. With prophets the standing of TB Joshua Revelation 1:7, “Behold, He (Jesus) is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him”, becomes so near and a reality. Jesus described what people will be doing at such a time: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day the Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Emmanuel

VIDEO: WHO comments on Medical doctor's healing of COVID-19 TB Joshua's church

The World Health Organization (WHO) has responded to a video of a Cameroonian medical doctor Kameni Pierre, who was healed of COVID-19 after prayers from one of Pastor TB Joshua’s recently anointed Prophet through the Church channel, Emmanuel TV in the “Distance is not a Barrie” Program.

WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, WHO Executive Director of Health Emergencies, Dr Michael Ryan and other WHO officials were questioned about the miracle by a Cameroonian journalist Simon Ateba during an interactive media session on Wednesday, July 1.

“On Monday, a very popular pastor in Nigeria, T.B Joshua, released a video of a medical doctor in Cameroon who was said to have been cured of the virus through prayer,” Ateba stated, asking the panellists for their reaction.

In the video he referenced, Dr Kameni Pierre – a gynaecologist and obstetrician – receives prayer after affirming he was positive to coronavirus during an ‘Interactive Prayer Session’ organised by Emmanuel TV.

After ‘vomiting out’ the disease during prayer, the medical doctor held up his medical report days later confirming he was diagnosed negative to COVID-19.

In response, Dr Michael Ryan, the Executive Director of WHO Health Emergencies Programme, affirmed the readiness of WHO to collaborate with bodies like The SCOAN to advance the cause of the war against the deadly virus.

“Certainly, spiritual leadership is very important in times like this,” Ryan stated, praising the role of faith-based organisations in providing accurate information to communities.

Speaking further, the WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus added that faith and science should “go together”.

“We know many religious leaders who would really advise their followers to follow their faith and at the same time use science. The two do not contradict; they go together… We will call on all religious leaders to be in this fight and save lives,” he stated.

Ghebreyesus had earlier echoed TB Joshua’s prophecy where he declared 2020 “the year of humility” in which “God would humble us with our challenges”.
“If this virus is teaching us anything, it is humility,” the former Ethiopian Minister of Health asserted.

Emmanuel TV’s popular YouTube videos, many of which show similar cases of miraculous healing through prayer, have accumulated over six hundred million views.
