REMEMBER YOUR EXIT - PROPHET TB JOSHUA

Tb Joshua, SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

"Look, it is too early to say a man is blessed. The beginner is not the owner but the finisher. These are the lessons you should learn. Many heroes have collapsed - great, rich and wealthy men. The beginner is not the owner but the finisher. If you don’t finish well, everything you live for is gone and the history about you is erased. The evil that men do lives after them.

Many of you are being prepared for generations yet unborn - just like the Apostles. They were prepared so that when they died, their work would remain for generations yet unborn. This is what we are seeing now. Anytime you behave - remember your exit. Always think about where your thoughts, attitude and behaviour will be credited to your account. Our account is in our future, not now. You are living now. You are working now. What you are doing now will be credited to our future. What are you doing now that will be credited to your future? If you are doing evil now, that evil will be credited to your future. Are you doing good now? The good you are doing now will be credited to your future - you will find them in the future, where that physical strength is no longer there.

Let us remember our future. My future is my life. That is life - Let me suffer now and enjoy in the future. But to enjoy now and suffer in the future... But how many of us will do this? We are not ready to suffer now and enjoy in the future. So, what we are going through - and you are running from to the witch-doctor, trying to cut the journey, is to prepare you for the future. This is what I have said - God often uses anything to preserve, prepare, strengthen our desire and determination, to stop us for a while and arrange our future. He’s arranging your future. Anything can be used to arrange your future - sickness, disappointment. They will come; you need those experiences." - Prophet TB Joshua (25th February 2018)

Is TB Joshua Demise the End of SCOAN And Emmanuel TV?

Prophet TB Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

As we continue to celebrate the life and legacy of Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of all nations (SCOAN). Most persons have raised their concern about the future of the SCOAN.

While there is no doubt that most of these concerns are burnout of good well, there were some that were intended to ridicule the memory of our beloved Prophet.

Especially, by pessimist who sees the demise of the Prophet as the rise and fall of the Synagogue Church of all Nations.

They concluded that this may be the end of the ministry of the SCOAN and the name, TB Joshua will soon be forgotten.

The signs and wonders, and the works of charity which the SCOAN is known for will stop. Since TB Joshua who is the face of the ministry is no more.

There were even some comments by critics that those Prophet and prophetesses anointed by TB Joshua won’t be able to perform healing and deliverance anymore since the ‘owner of the power’ is dead.

While one should have chosen to ignore all these uninformed comments by critics, it is imperative to respond as we all watch how things will unfold concerning the future of the SCOAN and those anointed by the Prophet.

Prophet TB Joshua is not the owner or inventor of any ‘anointing power’. The Prophet is simply a carrier of God’s divine grace and nature.

The Prophet was only used by God to anointing the Prophet, Prophetess and Evangelist we all see in the SCOAN and those that have left to open their ministry.

The demise of the Prophet will not stop the move of God, in the life of those God used him to anoints, since the Prophet is not the owner of the anointing, but God is the owner.

The passing on to the Glory of the Prophet is not the end of the move of God in the Ministry of the SCOAN.

The truth is that this is just the beginning of greater works that will be done by God through those anointed by the Prophet to continue from where

 Prophet TB Joshua stopped.

The prophet came to lay the foundation of the Prophetic Ministry and Anointed Apostles around the world.

He has finished the assignment he was sent on earth to do by God and now he has left. Others that have been anointed by God through him will continue with the good works of healing and deliverance.

The grace of God is still there at the SCOAN and generations yet unborn will come and benefit from it.

It is not about TB Joshua, but it is all about God and His will.

As TB Joshua will say, “THE BEAUTY OF ACHIEVEMENT IS WHEN WE NO LONGER LIVE AND OUR ACHIEVEMENT IS STILL THERE, CONTINUING TO LINGER ON IN THE EYES AND EARS OF CHILDREN YET UNBORN.”

The power of God in the SCOAN and the legacy of Prophet TB Joshua will continue to linger on for generations yet unborn.

OONI OF IFE PAYS TRIBUTE TO PROPHET TB JOSHUA

Tb Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

“Prophet TB Joshua’s demise is a huge loss to Nigeria, especially the Yoruba race. He was a complete follower of Christ and an epitome of kindness who led by example. Aside from being a clergyman, Prophet TB Joshua went several steps ahead to become a globally celebrated philanthropist, advocate of a justice-filled society and prominent sports lover. While it is a fact that his departure is currently being missed by all, I urge Christendom to go beyond just mourning and pick lessons from the well spent lifetime of this great man of God. The preaching and teaching of the Word of God must not stop while the act of giving through philanthropy must also be sustained as initiated and maintained by Prophet TB Joshua.”

FAKE NEWS ALERT - EVELYN JOSHUA THE NEW HEAD OF SCOAN?

Evelyn Joshua, TB Joshua, SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

Since the passing on to Glory of the General overseer of The Synagogue, Church of all Nations (SCOAN), there has been a lot of fake news going around about the cause of death of the Prophet; controversy over where the prophet will be buried; and also the appointment of the wife of the Prophet, Evelyn Joshua as the new General overseer of The SCOAN.

While one would have chosen to ignore all this fake news, it will do no good to most members of the public that can be easily misled by what they read and hear from the news and social media.

Hence, this response.

Prophet TB Joshua was not sick before he passes on to Glory.

We all watched the last service of the Prophet before he was called home by God. We could see that there was no sign that the Prophet was sick.

He was healthy and sound. He was all smiling and claim in his usual disposition.

The Prophet was not sick neither did he travelled to Tunisia or any country for a medical checkup a few days before he left this world.

The Prophet was simply called back home by God like other Prophet of old to rest in God’s kingdom. Any other story outside that is fake news.

You can as well watch the Video of the last service of the Prophet below:

There is no controversy on where Prophet TB Joshua will be buried.

Every action concerning the Burial of the Prophet is subject to the directives of the Spirit of God.

Neither the wife of the Prophet nor His relatives have a say on the matter.

Everyone is free to air their opinion in the public. Where the prophet will be buried and the time he will be buried will be determined by the Spirit of God and there is no controversy over it.

It is also important to note that Evelyn Joshua has not to be appointed as the new General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of all Nations.

If she was appointed, it would have been made known to the public through the SCOAN official social media Channels and Emmanuel TV.

There was never a time any meeting was called upon by any family group and elders of the Church where an agreement was reached that Evelyn Joshua should be appointed as the new head of the SCOAN.

There is no leadership vacuum in the SCOAN with the demise of the Prophet and there is no rush for whatsoever reasons for a new person to head the SCOAN.

What everybody is focusing on right now is the burial ceremony of the Prophet.

The Prophet has not yet be buried and the wife is still mourning the departed soul of his lovely husband.

The issue of who would take over the head of the SCOAN would be after the burial of the Prophet and whosoever that person his, will be as directed by the Spirit of God.

This is not an issue of family Business according to comments by critics.

If Evelyn Joshua will be the newly appointed head of the SCOAN. It will be so according to the directives of God.

She will not be appointed based on agreements reached by any Church elders and family member.

If so be she will be appointed, Evelyn Joshua is not going to be qualified for that position because she is Prophet TB Joshua’s wife but because she was chosen and made qualified by God.

MAY THE WILL OF GOD BE DONE AND MAY HIS NAME ALONE BE GLORIFIED!! AMEN!

GOOD MORNING AND WIN TODAY!

TRIBUTE TO PROPHET TB JOSHUA BY ‘WHITE HOUSE PRAYER FOR OUR NATION’

TB Joshua, The SCOAN, Prophet, Emmanuel TV, Anointing water

“Prophet TB Joshua was a special gift from God to humanity. He was a herald of the Gospel and agent of transformation, economic empowerment and spiritual liberation. He is known by the Christian community here in the United States and around the globe as a man of prayer, prophetic insight, a dynamic teacher, philanthropist and humanitarian.

For over 25 years, he has been a great source of inspiration through televangelism which has broadly impacted the religious heritage of many nations. His life reflects the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 1:21-23 - “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far.”

He was indeed a 21st century prophet who has completed his assignment and has made his transition to join our great prophetic ancestors including Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, John the Baptist and Zechariah. Several scholars have listed him among the world’s most famous prophets.

It was always our desire to have Prophet T.B. Joshua to minister at our gathering here in Washington DC but God had other plans for him in this time and season. We thank God for the thousands of lives that were delivered from spiritual, social and economic bondage through his ministry. He has fought a good fight; he has finished his course and he has kept the faith. May his soul rest in peace and light perpetual shine on him."

TB Joshua Gave Life to People, not make a Living from People

TB Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

We often hear the phrase “making a living” to refer to the work we do to earn a living and sustenance. Many Christians and Christian organizations have fallen into that sustainability syndrome just as much as anybody else, thereby making a mess of the Good News of Jesus. They use their ministries to build financial empires around themselves. However, the Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua came to change lives and to change nations. This should remain the Focus of the SCOAN family worldwide.  One big lesson he is leaving with us is the fact that he didn't worry about his life, what he would eat, drink, or, what would wear or where he would live. He cared for the teaching, the healing, the giving, and the praying for others at every meeting. “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today, (Matthew 6:25-34). God who provides for the sparrows will surely provide for us. God is ultimately providing everything we have. We work hard, make prudential decisions, and are responsible for our duties.  In that sense, we could say we’re making a living. But we need to take it as God’s gift to us and not of something we’re laying hold of independently. In the Garden of Eden, the primal sin is the illusion of seeking radical autonomy for self and the idea that I can separate myself from God, make my judgements, work in my strength, think like God. That’s a complete delusion. God’s going to restore all things one day and the glory of SCOAN will be greater than the first.

Whenever Jesus looks at the world, He sees what can be and all the possibilities. Jesus shows us what the kingdom of heaven looks like and asks us to live its principles here on earth. This means turning what is regarded as normal personal economics upside down. TB Joshua led, lived and gave as Christ did by turning his economy into Jesus' economy. TB Joshua was willing to drop everything to follow Jesus like the first Apostles of Jesus, even right from the time he had only a little. Passing alongside the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.’ And immediately they left their nets and followed him. And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed Him” (Mark 1:16-20). TB Joshua was willing to give whatever Jesus asked of him and at that very moment. This remembrance should help not just to build on Christ's Foundation but to keep the Church in union with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus told a young rich man saying, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me” (Matthew 19:21; please read 19:16-30). This area is where we'd found TB Joshua using his resources to empower the impoverished. His ministry sponsored international crusades and he gave generously to needy individuals personally and through Emmanuel.TV's Partners. The currency of Jesus's kingdom is different from the circulating ones in our societies. Jesus’ currency is self-sacrifice, faith, holiness and love, reflected in TB Joshua's teaching and living without hesitation or reservation.

Jesus has also given us the mandate to bring the gospel to those who are yet to hear His name. Jesus' economy is not just about alleviating physical poverty alone. It is also about alleviating spiritual poverty. TB Joshua was able to touch the lives of many, meeting both their emotional, physical and spiritual needs.

Similarly, God is asking us to demonstrate our belief by bringing the good news to those who feel hopeless. We are called to drop everything for Jesus because His economy is all about envisioning what the world could look like if we live in His love, righteousness and integrity. To further appreciate the life and time of TB Joshua we should join God in the process of making that vision to changing lives and changing nations a reality and our priority. In this way, Prophet TB Joshua will live on in the heart of the world.

TRIBUTE TO PROPHET TB JOSHUA BY JOHN MAHAMA, FORMER PRESIDENT OF GHANA

Tb Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV, Prayer mountain

"The late Prophet TB Joshua was an extraordinary servant of God. It is still quite shocking to be referring to him in the past tense. It is difficult to come to terms with the fact that the prophet has well and truly gone to be with his Maker.

The prophet was a dedicated servant who dwelled in the presence of God; a man of such humility, and knowledge, a man so infinitely impactful, personable with a reassuring presence.

These poignant words of Emily Dickenson remind us of his spectacular exit to be with the Lord in eternal glory:

'Because I could not stop for Death –

He kindly stopped for me –

The Carriage held but just ourselves –

And Immortality.'

I was privileged to know Prophet TB Joshua, through President (Prof.) John Evans Atta Mills of blessed memory, under whom I had the honour of serving as Vice President. President Atta Mills and Prophet TB Joshua shared a special bond and was his spiritual mentor and counsellor.

I had the opportunity to participate in several prayer and prophetic sessions that were regular events during Professor Mills' administration. Prophet Joshua and President Mills shared many qualities in common: their humility, humanity, honesty, peace-loving and unifying nature and their undying love for God were vivid signs that defined them.

Indeed, Prophet T.B. Joshua was a gift from Africa to the world; a global icon who nobly represented Christianity and yet recognized, accepted and embraced people of all faith from every corner of the world as being part of God’s children. A man of many parts, he was many things to many people. He was a husband of widows and father of orphans. He was a healer and counsellor. His words restored strength to the sick and weary, and his deeds brought hope to the broken hearted.

He gave food to the hungry and clothes to those in need. He put roofs over the heads of the deprived and was a sanctuary for those seeking refuge from all kinds of strife in their lives. He was a tireless philanthropist who did not just teach but manifestly showed by example the Christian principle that “IT IS MORE BLESSED TO GIVE THAN TO RECEIVE.”

He was a man of prayer who died as he lived. It is instructive that in his parting words he enjoined us to "watch and pray." Shakespeare centuries ago echoed these sentiments that this world is merely a stage, and we all have a part to play in the theatre of life – making our entrance and our exits when called upon to do so. Prophet T. B. Joshua has played his part and taken a final bow off the stage.

I had the opportunity to meet with him during my last visit to Nigeria in April this year. He graciously gave me a tour of the "prayer mountain", a beautiful serene location surrounding a beautiful lake full of fish, with graceful trees and vegetation.

He was kind and warm as I have always known him. He sounded like someone who knew his time was short. He asked me to take care of my health, especially my heart and other important organs. I assured him that my last medical checkup showed all was OK. He said that was good, but to exercise some more, walk some more and swim. As my car pulled away at the end of the visit, he stood there waving. Little did I realise that his farewell wave was a literal message of goodbye from this life. The image of him smiling and waving has remained with me since the shocking announcement of his death.

May his soul have a peaceful repose with the Lord.

Till we meet again, my friend. Adieu!"

FORMER MALAWIAN PRESIDENT JOYCE BANDA PAYS TRIBUTE TO PROPHET TB JOSHUA

"We want to thank God for the precious gift, Senior Prophet TB JOSUA, that HE gave to the world.

In 2009 my husband RICHARD BANDA was serving as Chief Justice in Swaziland after serving as Chief Justice of Malawi for ten years. In November of that year he was travelling to West Indies to attend a conference of the Commonwealth Judges and Magistrates Association. In London, he suffered a massive stroke.

I was myself serving as Vice President of Malawi and was in Venezuela attending the Venezuela/ Africa summit representing my President.  A day after my arrival there I received a message that my husband was in a London hospital following a stroke. I travelled back. The doctors, after treating him for a two weeks, told me that he would have permanent brain damage and may never walk properly or speak again.

I told the doctor that he was not God and that I would continue to call upon God for healing.  From London I travelled to SCOAN, Nigeria to seek healing for my husband from God through His servant Prophet TB Joshua. We received our miracle and after two years we were able to go back to thank God for His mercy!

It has been 12 years of spiritual growth through this Man of God. In 2019, he invited 10 members of our family for fellowship and prayers. His life should be celebrated. He was ready to go to be with the Lord. May his soul rest in everlasting peace!"

A TRANSITION SELF-FORETOLD IN PARABLES - PROPHET T.B. JOSHUA

Tb Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV, Prayer mountain

While explaining the intricacies of matters of prophecy on October 5, 2014, during a SCOAN Sunday service, Prophet T.B. Joshua had told congregants that prophecy sometimes comes in the form of parables. Using himself as an example, the man of God asked the church: “If today is my last day, you want me to come out and say, ‘Today is my last day on earth’? If God has shown me, ‘T.B. Joshua, today is your last day on earth,’ I should come out and say, ‘Praise the Lord, today is my last day on earth’?” Prophet T.B. Joshua then said, “I will talk to you in parables so that when I’ve passed on to my Father, you can now pick those parables.”

Tb Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV, Prayer mountain

On Saturday, 5th June 2021, Prophet T.B. Joshua actually spoke in parable about his own transition shortly before it happened. He had ministered at The Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting of that day and had started by saying, “I want to thank you for your time and for the heart you have for Jesus.” Then he spoke in parables: “Time for everything. A time to come here and a time to return home after service.” Then he gave the following advice: “Let us watch and pray” (Matthew 26).

In attendance at the Partners Meeting of that day was a certain Pastor Ikechukwu, who later told of the divine revelation he had during the impactful session of prayer and worship by the Emmanuel TV Choir and congregants. Here is Pastor Ikechukwu in his own words: “On that very day, which was Saturday, 5th June, we were at the Partners Meeting. We were praising the Lord. There was a lot of worship going on. I stood up. I was worshipping the Lord; I was deeply in worship. Immediately, my eyes opened. I saw something: People were running helter-skelter. This is my revelation. As they were running around, I quickly opened my eyes. I thought it was real. I looked back. Everybody was deeply in worship. I realised it was a revelation. I closed my eyes again. I was worshipping the Lord.”

Tb Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV, Prayer mountain

Pastor Ikechukwu said the vision occurred a second time, narrating thus: “The revelation came the second time. So I sat down and began to pray. I was praying. I opened my eyes because I was meditating on what I saw. I saw an angel right from this point [pointing], descending. As the angel descended, I was amazed. I was looking at the angel. The second one landed. It was very fast, like electricity. It entered the second garden here [pointing]. Nobody was in the garden. Then the third angel landed. Then our father in the Lord, Prophet T.B. Joshua, came out. He was ministering to us. He was saying it is time to come and time to return home after service. So he began to preach; we were listening to him. He preached to a point.”

Describing the vision further, the pastor disclosed thus: “The fourth angel landed. I was watching them. Instantly, the atmosphere changed; the countenance of our father in the Lord, Prophet T.B. Joshua, changed. He dropped the microphone that was in his hand. He walked round. He was so fast. He walked round and then through the gate. I was watching him. He was moving very fast. I felt somehow because I had never seen him that way. He left us very fast. Before he left, I could recall that the antelopes were running out of that garden where the angels were. They ran to this part [pointing]. Then I watched everything as it unfolded. After that we were called to receive the Anointing Water. Then we received the Anointing Water. We received a message that T.B. Joshua said we were blessed. We received the Anointing Water; after we received it we were very happy. Then we all went back to our hotel rooms. This is what I experienced.”

On the significance of the vision in relation to Prophet T.B. Joshua’s peaceful transition later that same day, Pastor Ikechukwu stated: “God sent His angel and he took him home like Elijah. I want to assure you that God is real and our father, Prophet T.B. Joshua, is indeed a man of God. I saw the angel that came to take him home. And it is the Lord’s doing. I can as well tell you that if every man of God can be called home this way, it would be marvelous.”

Indeed, this vision is only another confirmation of the mighty power of God as has been manifesting in the ministry of Prophet T.B. Joshua right from the early days. As it was in the beginning, so shall it continue to be, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

Emmanuel!

T.B. JOSHUA: THERE WAS A MAN I KNEW BY FEMI FANI-KAYODE

There was a man I knew who helped a former Head of State's wife gain access to her husband whilst the latter was in detention and when his life was in danger, even though he had never met him.

There was a man I knew who gave $100,000 USD to a leading traditional ruler who was in need and wanted to go on a trip to America with his delegation, even though he had never met him.

There was a man I knew who bought a beautiful jeep for a former Nigerian/British football star who spent much of the time in his Church.

There was a man I knew who stood by the family of a leading SAN when the latter was kidnapped even though they had never met.

There was a man I knew who stood by the family of a former Minister of Aviation when the latter was in detention even though they had never met.

There was a man I knew who fed more poor people and paid the school fees of more young people than all the other men of God in Nigeria put together.

There was a man I knew who read about how the entire family of a young boy from Delta state was wiped out by assasins whilst the boy himself was left for dead with a cut throat but who took the boy into his Church, treated him in hospital, counselled him, sent him to school, took care of all his needs and raised him as his own son.

There was a man I knew who gave shelter to the homeless, food to the hungry, clothes to the naked and spiritual and physical succour to the needy more than any other.

There was a man I knew who counselled and led millions of people all over the world to give their lives to Christ and become born again.

There was a man I knew who filled football stadiums in South America, the Far East, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and indeed all over the world with his remarkable soul-winning and earth-shaking crusades.

There was a man I knew who gave scholarships to thousands of young people to study all over the world and who took care of thousands of widows and orphans.

There was a man I knew who footed the bills of many cancer patients and those that suffered from other terminal illnesses.

There was a man I knew who hated injustice and persecution with a passion and who helped and supported the vulnerable, the weak, the persecuted, the oppressed and the misrepresented and maligned more than any other.

There was a man I knew who set up the most popular and powerful satellite television station on the African continent to propagate the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to display His glorious and remarkable healing and loving power.

There was a man I knew who was a real patriot, who loved his country Nigeria, who loved his continent Africa and who loved the Church more than any other.

There was a man I knew who flew more refugees from foreign lands back home to Nigeria and fed and gave them jobs more than any other.

There was a man I kew who never responded to his detractors and critics and who preached nothing but love and forgiveness.

There was a man I knew who was gifted in the prophetic, who worked many miracles in the name the Lord and who always gave God the glory.

There was a man I knew whose Church attracted 6 out of every 10 foreigners that come to Nigeria.

There was a man I knew who was better known and more loved and respected than any other Nigerian living or dead in the nations of the world.

There was a man I knew who prayed into power and counselled many world leaders and Presidents than any other.

There was a man I knew who was more comfortable in the company of the poor than he was in the company of the rich.

There was a man I knew who suffered more persecution and tragedy than any other man of God in Nigeria without ever complaining.

There was a man I knew who derived more joy in giving than receiving and whose charitable works and humility was second to none.

There was a man I knew who preferred to build prayer retreats with beautiful trees, beautiful animals and beautiful flowers than private universities.

There was a man I knew who inspired more than any other, who always made time for those in despair, pain and anguish, who always allayed the fears of those he counselled and who offered the best advice that anyone could ever hope for.

There was a man I knew who believed that kindness to even the cruel and loving even the unlovable was the duty of every follower of Christ.

There was a man I knew who never forgot his roots and who took pleasure in telling others about his humble beginnings.

There was a man I knew who never judged others, who prayed for his enemies, who loved those that hated him and who helped as many Muslims, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists as he did Christians.

There was a man I knew who was closer to being an angel than any other person that I have ever met before in my entire life.

That man's name was Temitope Balogun Joshua the founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations.

He was a great Prophet of the Living God whose remarkable ministry and extraordinary works shook the entire world and brought solace and hope to several generations.

He passed on a few days ago and we God glory for his life. Until the end of time he shall be remembered and celebrated for being the kind-hearted, loving, caring and generous soul that he was.

He was one of God's 'end-time' Generals and his fruits and works speak for him.

Godspeed and fare thee well brother and please rest in peace. You ran your course, you fought a good fight, you did us proud and you earned your crown.

We will never forget you and the impact you made in our respective lives.

We shall meet again at the marriage feast of the Lamb and until then we shall hold on to your words and remember your counsel.

We shall be strong and bold in all things and at all times and we shall keep our flag of compassion, courage, honor and faith flying.

This is not the end but only the beginning of our journey into eternity.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy power? For even in the grave, Jesus is Lord!

I close with David's famous words when he learnt apart the passing of King Saul and his friend Jonathan. He said,

"Tell it not in Gath, proclaim it not in the streets of Ashkelon lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, Lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph...How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! O Jonathan, thou wast slain in thine high places. I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women. How are the mighty fallen and the weapons of war perished!"- 2 Samuel 1: 20, 25-27.

I weep at your passing my brother TB.
Adieu and shalom great Prophet of the Living God and great son of Nigeria.

LIBERIAN PRESIDENT GEORGE WEAH PAYS TRIBUTE TO PROPHET TB JOSHUA

Republic of Liberia, H. E. George M. Weah, TB Joshua, The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

"The President of the Republic of Liberia, H. E. George M. Weah has expressed deep sadness at the news of the unfortunate demise of the legendary Nigerian Televangelist and Philanthropist, TB Joshua. The President said the Clergyman had impacted so many lives, including his, before Joshua's passing on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the age of 57.

President Weah had come to value the spiritual guidance of the Televangelist ever since the 2017 visit and worship service he had with SCOAN's congregation. At the time, TB Joshua called President Weah his "brother", who he said was "here today because he loves his country and wants God’s choice for his country... he is not here to impose himself". He has also offered prayers for the Liberian nation and people.

The President conveys his condolences to TB Joshua's family, the Nigerian people, the church and all those around the world impacted by his loss. He urged them to take solace in the Lord."

TB Joshua the Herald of the Possibilities We Enjoy in Christ

TB Joshua. The SCOAN, Emmanuel TV

It is still very difficult for many of us to accept that we may not see Prophet TB Joshua imparting his "God sent" hands-on us physically again. He was the focal point. For example, in February 2020, just before the covid-19 global epidemic, a visitor from Tanzania confided in me, when we were on the prayer ground, that Prophet TB Joshua was the main reason that brought them to Nigeria. Hence it is envisaged that the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, may be different without its Founder. Nevertheless, the legacies he left behind are strong enough for continuity. The type of gates Prophet TB Joshua built around SCOAN, is a "Dynamic-Absolute-Faith in Jesus Christ". Normally the protection of a city would depend on the strength or power of its gates, during times of adversities like this, the gates of that city would usually be the first place of assault.

The acronym SCOAN does not refer to a building or an organization, but to people across the globe who have been taught to understand their identity in Jesus Christ, His completeness and sufficiency. In (Matthew 16:18), Jesus said that “…you are Peter (TB Joshua, SCOAN, you may insert your name if you know Jesus)  and upon this Rock, (upon this revelation of My true identity), I will build My CHURCH, (SCOAN). Every Christian Ministry should learn lessons from TB Joshua and from SCOAN instead of just carelessly passing judgment, criticism, abuses on things they have the least information.

Many lessons can be learned by observing the life of another, in particular between TB Joshua and those under him. We can learn from their habits and disciplines, how they relate to others, and even from their faults, beyond news media speculations and gossips that depart from the truth. The relationship between Elisha and Elijah the master provides an excellent example.  Elisha was destined for a double portion, but if he had never first offered himself as a servant to Elijah, he would have remained a farmer, never be known and never performed the amazing miracles that blessed the lives of so many others. The final time Elisha spent with his master indicates his total loyalty to his call. In (2 Kings 2:6-7) we read that, "Elijah said to Elisha, 'Stay here, for the LORD has told me to go to the Jordan River.' But again Elisha replied, 'As surely as the LORD lives and you live, I will never leave you.' So they went on together. Fifty men from the group of prophets also went and watched from a distance as Elijah and Elisha stopped beside the Jordan River." (2 Kings 2:6-7 NLT).

One lesson all prophets have to learn from Elijah is the test he set for Elisha the then-upcoming young prophet.  Three times Elijah told Elisha to stay behind, but each time Elisha the student refused to leave his master's side. Others were watching from a distance, but Elisha wanted a close-up and personal view of what God was about to do in Elijah's life. The fifty others watching from a distance were not left with the double portion, only Elisha the one who had persevered. Today many so-called prophets are not just watching from the distance but they constitute themselves to police of the social media and judges of the open social court. In (Matthew 12:27,36-37 KJV) we also read,  "If I (Jesus) by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words, thou shalt be condemned."

Therefore let us all take to heart as Prophet TB Joshua remains are laid within the SCOAN premises. The Saki of Arigidi and his entire Arigidi's Elder Forum and Council of Chiefs' efforts to bring the body of one of their illustrious sons to be buried in Arigidi are highly appreciated. The world has come to know TB Joshua not because he came from Arigidi in Nigeria but because of his works. His works are what all of us must support to continue so that he, Prophet TB Joshua, can continue to live on in all hearts. We are praying hard for the continuity of all TB Joshua's Ministries. Even as he used to say that. "Better is not good enough, the Best is yet to come", so it shall be. Prophet TB Joshua's life is therefore the herald of the possibilities we have in Jesus Christ if only we can truly believe.

TB Joshua Last Interview With Journalist

Prophet TB Joshua

Few days before the passing on to glory, four select journalists spoke to Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, in what appeared to be his last interview, on sundry issues. He particularly spoke about his calling, which he said could not be extended to his wife, Evelyn, except it pleases God hence she has remained in the background in the ministry. Segun James presents the excerpts:

How did you get the vision to lead a church?

I was called right here many years ago. Just a few meters away was the hut where I was staying as the other one is the hut where I pray and meditate and also read in absolute serenity. Vision comes from God through meditation amidst nature. Surrounded by nature you can concentrate. It is like you are talking of good lawyers, every profession must have a library, where you can sit down and do some studying. Without this place, I will not be able to concentrate and speak with the Almighty. So this is where I started and I must have a library and a place where I can enjoy nature, not the air condition or fan. So having nature around you is very good. God is nature and without nature you cannot understand the bible, because the bible is not history. When you are reading the bible, you are reading the Holy Spirit. So if you don’t allow nature, when you are reading, you will be reading history.

What is your dream for the future of the church?

We intend to build a university of science, which will incorporate our job here. When you talk of science, theology, medicine, these are the areas we will concentrate upon. When you have a student, this is where they should come and review whatever they are taught. You need some place like this, where you leave everything outside and come and hear the cocks’ crow. But outside here, when they are doing that, you can’t hear them because of noise.

So this place is very important to me. This is where I live, sleep and everything I do. If I want to see people outside here, I go outside, there is time for that, because the bible says that there is time to rest, time to work, time to rest is time to receive from God and time to work is time to give what you receive from God. And when you talk of time to rest, this is the best place to rest, not in the midst of technology or going to New York or travelling about but you rest in the midst of nature.

You said it all started here, how did it start given that this place was a swamp?

This swamp is the rejected stone. God spoke to me and brought me here, I have been following God’s vision and mission. When I am out of God’s mission I am finished. That is why you cannot see me outside here, you cannot hear me speak outside of here. What I want to show you now will leave you shocked. My brother saw it three days ago and was surprised. God’s time is the best and I always follow God’s time. So that is why I only called key people to show them this. So I have been following God’s time, that is why you will not see me preach every Sunday, or go on television to preach every day, I must hear from God before saying anything. Every time can be good for you and every time can be the best time for you, but for me, I must have a corresponding grace or power, because the Holy Spirit must suggest what to do before I do them. If not, I will not be able to have God’s result.

So this is why you are not seeing me out there – at weddings, naming ceremonies and coming to your office to grant and interview, this is the only church – the synagogue here in Ikotun and there is no other branch all over the world but it touches everywhere in the world. So, I am waiting for God to let me know if there will be branches or not. The important thing is that we should focus on building the people and not the church.

Given what is here, not much is reported, why?

They will soon get to know, we are just waiting for God’s time. There are many things to be done in this place. So things are at about 80% completion. If people should know about this place now, we will not be able to complete this job because it will cause distraction. So, it remains a bit for us to get to 95%, when we are at 95% we will let people know. It is going to be by grace, it is not something you pay money for, you can come and see people moving and praying. So, people will get to know; we are waiting for God’s time. After you leave here, I will like you to keep that information to yourself.

Why is it that you don’t want to talk about money?

Not that I don’t want to talk about money, because there are so many poor people around, if I begin to display what I have, can you imagine how much I will hurt those who are here? But whatever I can do to let them know that I understand what they are going through, I will do it. To give them money, to help them, supporting them, not to display what God has given me but to give them the support that they need.

You are always simply dressed, why?

If I have time to dress well I will do that.

Not much is known about your wife and family?

I am very happy about this question. I have a wife and I have children, and even my first daughter is doing her Phd and the second daughter is doing her master’s degree in Oxford. In all, I have three daughters, the last one is still in secondary school. I would have loved my wife to be like me but I cannot make her what I am; it is God. It is not possible for me to anoint her, God is the one that anoints people. So, it is not possible for her to sit here at the same time, this is not biological issue; it is inheritance from the saints, it is a partaker from the saints. Therefore, I should not use anything in my biological life to stop my spiritual life.

I am a native of Arigidi Akoko but as for my divine nature I am a partaker of the inheritance of the saints, therefore, it is so difficult for me. This is an apostolic ministry. It is not a ministry you read bible, go to theology school, you get it and you start preaching. No! It is purely divine. So, it is so difficult for me to display my wife, she has to be ready for God. As much as you are ready for God, God will display her.

Two things that are striking about you. One, you love gigantic projects, and two, you are heavily criticised by many people. How do you take them when you see them say uncomplimentary things about you?

It is always good if at the beginning they don’t see what is good about you. If they don’t see your journey at the beginning they will criticise you. It is good for you, at the end. So, if they praise you from the beginning it is not encouraging. If Nigeria has been accepting me right from the beginning of my mission, I think that will affect my mission to the world. I have gone all over the world, I am the only minister of God that organised a crusade in Israel. I have the certificate which was given to me in Israel. And I also went to Nazareth, where Jesus was born and organised a revival there. I am the first man of God to do that and it was carried in newspapers all over the world, Tell Magazine and the rest. An international cable news network carried it live when I was doing the crusade and a certificate was given to me. That is the greatest joy for any minister of God.

Why was there so much controversy about the crusade?

…Because it happened to Jesus, I cannot be greater than my master. A tenant cannot be greater than his landlord. If the landlord is criticised, who is the tenant? That is exactly what happened to Jesus. They said no, the Muslims were on the streets protesting, the Christian, Catholics and all. But I let them know that God sent me to do the revival in Israel. And top government functionaries, including Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu also sent his representative. So, on the second day I finished the revival, it was God that took me out of the place and millions of people attended. So, you can imagine a man like that, you know what happened to my building when almost 200 people died in synagogue? The CD of what happened is out. If they can go to the extent of killing 200 people spread all over the world, just to get me, so anything close to Jesus can be attacked.
