Question & Answer With TB Joshua On Face Masks

QUESTION: My elderly mum and dad have started wearing their face masks permanently because of fear of contracting COVID-19 and only removing them when they want to eat because they need to use their mouth to eat. I am concerned this can be dangerous. How can I advise them?

ANSWER: Following global health guidelines during this period of COVID-19, the government is insisting on the use of face masks in public places - along with social distancing and handwashing. Face masks can be a very good thing but they can also be dangerous when they are not used properly or when they are not made with the proper material.

The government has asked you to wear face masks when you are in public places, in the midst of people, on the streets, in vehicles when you are not alone. The government is doing this to help you. They are not asking you to wear it 24 hours a day. There should be a time at home when you remove it. But some people are wearing their face masks for long periods of time. Breathing the same air in and out or not getting enough air while breathing - all of this can affect your health, cause headaches, fatigue and worsen existing health challenges.

So let us be careful of the amount of time we wear the face mask and also of the kind of material our face masks are made out of. For many, the chemicals used to make such material can be dangerous to inhale. NOTE: The face mask is your personal mask. It should be clean and made of proper material. This requires your discretion, viewers.

Right now, let us pray. Whatever is affecting your discretion - reason well, in the name of Jesus Christ! Reason according to God's direction, in the name of Jesus Christ! Reason in line with God, in Jesus' name! Viewers, sometimes hardship can influence our reasoning. Sometimes joblessness can influence our reasoning. Sometimes fear can influence our reasoning. Sometimes pressure can influence our reasoning. Right now, begin to reason well, in the name of Jesus! Begin to reason in line with God, in the name of Jesus! Begin to do the right thing, in Jesus' name! Do the right thing, in Jesus' name! In Jesus’ name we pray!

We would like to use this time to salute our governor of Lagos State, Governor Sanwo-Olu. Indeed, he’s one of a kind. If you look at his activity at this critical time, it can be compared to the New York governor who is always on the national news to update the general public and to educate them. Our governor wants to see his people and he wants to see them living well. We pray God will increase his capacity to do more, in Jesus’ name!

Our Shelter is in the Name of the Lord

Regular worshipers at the Synagogue, Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Lagos, Nigeria have come to the understanding that they have "A Sanctuary" that is their "Arena of Liberty". We hope and pray to return to normal worship therein soonest. That is a place where people find refuge, protection, healing, deliverance and justice. They make confessions and they are immune from arrest. Whether the depth of their freedom is completely clear to those making this claim is one thing, but once they arrive SCOAN they often understand that they experience freedom from evil spiritual attacks. They enjoy peace of mind and a great level of security from fear or anxiety. 

This may be why several people across the globe, watching Emmanuel.tv, ask Prophet TB Joshua if a Christian can even be sick let alone be attacked by a coronavirus. Remember in Matthew 4:6 Satan asked Jesus to throw Himself down to prove that He is the Son of God. At the crucifixion, the robber on the left (representing the spirit of Satan) similarly asked Jesus to prove Himself as the Son of God by saving Himself and two robbers. When Christians think like this they must be careful not to assume that they have arrived in heaven where there'd be no sickness. Instead, we should come to Jesus like the penitent thief on the "Right", recognising Jesus, pleading for Jesus' mercy and seeking refuge. A Christian can't be self-righteous because we are all saved by grace. In Proverbs 18:10 we read that "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe."  Hence, at SCOAN's Arena of Liberty, the strength of the building and its walls are not the measuring parameters of level security but the name of the Lord Jesus and His presence therein.

Prophet TB Joshua's teachings and conducts are excellently profoundly accurate, even when they look simple. It is delusion and false teaching that if you follow Jesus everything will be trouble-free and without care, without sickness. Jesus is our rock and fortress in desperate times. SCOAN is resting on the word of Jesus which says, "Come all who are weary and heavy-laden and I (Jesus) will give you rest".  All who seek Jesus' shelter, and cling to His to everlasting promises of truth and unconditional love that never runs dry, find safety and peace.

This isn't to underestimate the immeasurable protection we enjoy under the name of Jesus anywhere we are. For example, Taipei 101 is considered one of the safest and strongest buildings in this modern era. The tower is designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes. It is a cultural icon of technology in Taiwan. But even with all of these features, it pales in comparison to the strength and security that’s found in the one who abides in the Lord Jesus and His precepts. When the trials of life come like a tidal wave to consume us we can take refuge in Jesus. His strength is made perfect in our moment of weakness. He does not cause the sickness or the storms but He can use them to shape our resolve in His ability to provide whatever is needed to overcome them. Jesus is our Saviour and our Lord in all our situations, a very present help in our troubled times.  Emmanuel!!!

QUESTION - I was watching international news and saw US President Donald Trump threaten to cut off ties with China. Prophet TB Joshua, what would happen if America truly cuts ties with China?

ANSWER: “America's concentration is on big things while China concentrates on small things, e.g. manufacturing and agricultural goods – what developing nations need. Remember, 70-80% of the world are developing nations. What they need to grow, to live and to improve is what China is concentrating on. I think America should learn this lesson. This is what they should turn to.

China is using all these little things to get money from developing nations – and that is making them the richest in the world. It is trade by barter. It has made developing nations to see China as their hope. For example, a product in America may cost 500 and last long, because it is durable. The same product in China may cost 100 but not last long. However, developing nations will still choose China's products because such products are within their reach. That makes many nations to become debtors to China - even America.”
